    About this opportunity:

    Reporting to the Manager, IT Portfolio & Cloud Investments, and as a team member of the Cloud Business Office is responsible for leading and handling ground-breaking cloud projects, developing cloud adoption strategies, and serving as a liaison between IT and business units. This role coordinates the certification of new cloud services, handles cloud demand intake, and maintains an up-to-date catalog of cloud offerings, while also acting as a project lead for technical implementations.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop and recommend cloud adoption strategies and roadmaps, supporting overall cloud strategy.
    • Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, handling their interactions and cloud service requirements.
    • Coordinate with technical teams to facilitate the introduction and acceleration of cloud projects.
    • Lead and run cloud projects and programs as a product manager.
    • Promote and enhance the visibility of the Cloud Business Office within the organization.
    • Lead all aspects of the certification process for new cloud services, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and needs.
    • Lead the intake of new demand for cloud services, prioritizing and scheduling effectively.
    • Regularly update and handle communications regarding cloud services through a SharePoint site.
    • Maintain and update a comprehensive catalog of cloud services available for internal request and utilization.
    • Act as a project lead on technical implementations, collaborating closely with vendors and internal teams.
    • Develop business cases for cloud initiatives, leading the process from conception to implementation.

    Who you are:

    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
    • Completion of post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field.
    • Minimum of 12 to 15 years in IT, with significant exposure to technology leadership roles, especially in cloud-focused projects.
    • Proven track record of successful project leadership, including managing technical implementations and coordinating with vendors.
    • Extensive experience in a product owner or product management role, specifically focused on cloud services and solutions.
    • Solid background in business analysis, with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
    • Technical proficiency in cloud computing platforms, including knowledge of different service models; IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (software as a service) and implementation strategies.
    • Experience in the development, certification, and maintenance of cloud services, ensuring they meet organizational standards and requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining effective communication channels, such as SharePoint sites, for cloud service updates.
    • Knowledge of current cloud technologies and trends, with the ability to apply them effectively in an enterprise environment.
    • Strong strategic planning skills, with experience in aligning cloud initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
    • Experience in cloud cost management and optimization, providing guidance and setting standards.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously, with a focus on results and accountability.
