MATERIALS CBR ANALYST

OSHAWA, ON - PLANT
Lear is currently seeking a full time CBR (Component Based Releasing) Analyst to join their Materials team. The CBR Analyst will be responsible for expediting delivery/receipt of production materials, thereby maintaining proper inventory levels. Responsible for expediting and follow-up from home.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Analyze DAILY/WEEKLY release and communicate any discrepancies to customer
  • Update BOM's and manage engineering changes
  • Detect/Correct stock discrepancies between header/CBR components and Consignment discrepancies.
  • Coordinate master data views with finance
  • Reviews daily schedules to examine for potential shortages and ensures continuous flow of material to production floor.
  • Prepares daily ship schedule for supplier as required.
  • Prepares daily listing on highrisk items.
  • Follows up with suppliers and carriers and provides the required information.
  • Coordinates "hot" shipments with suppliers and carriers when shortages arise and followup on E.T.A including after hours.
  • Maintains accurate cumulative receipt check with all suppliers (weekly).
  • Advises receiving of E.T.A. on incoming material (daily).
  • Traces shipments, enters PTA's in system and completes forms
  • Exchanges information with Expeditors, Production Supervisors, Production Control, and Materials Manager.
  • Maintains material check records, receiving error records, vendor changes, breakpoints (daily) MCR summary (monthly).
  • Checks B.O.Ms for identification of changes/errors when problems occur.
  • Initiate review of stock counts and change requirements as provided (daily).
  • Provides night coverage when required.
  • Establishes window times between suppliers, carriers, receiving departments.
  • Orders all post model service materials.
  • Generates labels for shop floor when required.
  • Ensures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labour Relations.
  • Uses and or wears personal protective equipment that the company requires to be used or worn.
  • Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.
  • Works safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves, coworkers, and direct reports.
  • Recognizing and understanding the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
  • Ensures and understands compliance with harassment within the workplace towards others in the organization.
  • All air bag loads are received in the FCA EOP Lite system.
  • Any discrepancies or damage is reported to FCA on the appropriate forms.

Your Qualifications:


  • Post-Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency
  • 13 years' experience in Material Procurement or Inventory Controls
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP systems
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization to solve issues
  • Selfdirected at times and able to prioritize tasks to ensure customer and plant needs are met
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
