The Opportunity

Responsibilities:

Analysis of blueprints, plans, specifications and scope of work provided by client
Perform material takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings
Solicitation and evaluation of subcontractors based on price, quality, service and support
Preparation of final bid & supporting documents to submit to client
Manage the estimating project from start to finish addressing any problems that arise

Experience & Education

Two years' practical structural estimation experience
Educational background in engineering, architectural technology, civil technology and/ or construction management
Ability to work as part of a team, in a fastpaced environment, set deadlines and manage multiple projects
Excellent organization skills, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of revenue, cost, gross margin and cash management
Knowledge of Fabtrol, Revit, SDS/2, Tekla, AutoCAD or other estimating software is an asset
