The Opportunity:

The
Educator is a Registered Nurse role that will be serving the community in
SHASTA COMMUNITY CARE in
EDMONTON, ALBERTA.

The Educator is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management.

A strong personal commitment to Person Directed Care approaches. Current familiarity with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being is preferred
You are a patient team player flexible, positive motivator, and professional role model
Fullbodied organizational, communication, and time management skills
Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations
Always maintain the highest level of professionalism
Able to coordinate various business activities within the vision, objectives, and guiding philosophy of Connecting Care
Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and Employe Care Partner satisfaction
Friendly with a sense of humor and the utmost respect for all persons
Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning
Identifies Care Partner learning needs and development requirements
Lead the team to ensure commitment is understood in achieving person directed services
Ensuring that care is provided in accordance with nursing best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations
Growing Clinical Mentor Care Partner skills to be effective advocates for the Residents in helping them achieve the highest practicable physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing possible
Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence to safe work practices
Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community
Liaising with Doctors, Pharmacists, Homecare Nurse, Manager, families, and any other people required to facilitate the highest care for the Resident
Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

Must be a graduate of a recognized RN program
Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CRNA)
Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
