The Opportunity:
The
Educator is a Registered Nurse role that will be serving the community in
SHASTA COMMUNITY CARE in
EDMONTON, ALBERTA.
The Educator is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management.

- A strong personal commitment to Person Directed Care approaches. Current familiarity with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being is preferred
- You are a patient team player flexible, positive motivator, and professional role model
- Fullbodied organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations
- Always maintain the highest level of professionalism
- Able to coordinate various business activities within the vision, objectives, and guiding philosophy of Connecting Care
- Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and Employe Care Partner satisfaction
- Friendly with a sense of humor and the utmost respect for all persons
- Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning
- Identifies Care Partner learning needs and development requirements
- Lead the team to ensure commitment is understood in achieving person directed services
- Ensuring that care is provided in accordance with nursing best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations
- Growing Clinical Mentor Care Partner skills to be effective advocates for the Residents in helping them achieve the highest practicable physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing possible
- Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence to safe work practices
- Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community
- Liaising with Doctors, Pharmacists, Homecare Nurse, Manager, families, and any other people required to facilitate the highest care for the Resident
- Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:
- Must be a graduate of a recognized RN program
- Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CRNA)
- Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR
- Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
