Description

• Assisting in organizing all employees for planting new crops
• Responsible for maintaining all machinery in the greenhouse and irrigation room and completing repairs and maintenance activities as required
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot with the irrigation system
• Assisting in organizing and scheduling all greenhouse labour and crop activity which includes overseeing:
• Planting (propagation)
• Crop set up
• Irrigations
• Fertigation
• Crop work (deleafing, flower removal, runner pruning)
• Harvesting
• Crop removal/cleanout
• Crop interchanging
• Packaging
• Assisting in controlling the flow and speed of all the greenhouse activities
• Ensure that all the crop activities are being completed are meeting company quality standards
• Helping employees with the Ridder labour tracking system
• Responsible for blending of fertilizers
• Responsible for the proper storage of all chemicals and fertilizers
• Ensure that all employees within the greenhouse are following food safety, health & safety policies and procedures
• Complete appropriate training sessions with employees and conduct regular meetings with employees.
• Familiar with software such as Microsoft outlook, excel, word, etc.

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to speak Spanish is considered an asset.
• Attention to detail skills.

• This job position is mainly within the greenhouse which is a warm and sunny climate.
