    OBJECTIVE:

    Reporting to the head of IT, the Director, Data and Analytics analyses and understands company wide business processes, identifies critical information needed and builds tools to assist business in its daily task execution (gather important company data and compile it into reports shareholders and departmental managers can use). The incumbent takes charge of projects and delivers results that make the organization more performant. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves corporate processes.

    In this role, the Director, Data and Analytics will play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, cultivating a top-tier analytics team, and fostering a data-driven culture.

    RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Engage with various business units, understanding their needs, and ensuring that data solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable insights and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with upper management to review business improvement opportunities, quantify potential impact (ROI) and priorities project portfolio.
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop the data and analytics team, ensuring they have the tools, skills, and resources needed.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and security.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, including databases, warehouses, ETL processes, and other tools.
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future project.
  • Drive quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation processes.
  • Manage the department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for various projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and other technical teams to ensure system interoperability, data accessibility, and alignment with technology strategies.
  • Ensure that all data handling, storage, and processing activities comply with relevant data privacy laws and organizational policies

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or 10+ years of associated work experience in BI, data analytics, data science, or a related domain
  • Proven experience leading and growing analytics teams, driving data initiatives, and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and Azure Analytics ecosystem (Azure Datalake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, etc.)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Good understanding of data warehousing solutions and architecture.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading teams, inspiring innovation, and driving projects to completion.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning multiple departments
  • Should demonstrated experience in conducting analytics projects based on comprehensive ERP systems (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, IBM, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Bilingualism required, French and English
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry (Manufacturing, Sales or Distribution)
