Responsibilities:
- Be a strong leader for your team. Lead by example. Inspire. Instill in your team the idea that guest satisfaction is the top priority and will lead to more business coming through our doors.
- Address and rectify staff issues, complaints and suggestions.
- Hiring with the assistance of the Management Team. Build a strong team.
- Responsible for the management, motivation, dismissal and scheduling of kitchen and serving staff as necessary.
- Ensure the environment in the restaurant supports our core values: warmth, graciousness, efficiency, knowledge, professionalism, integrity, openmindedness, positivity and having fun.
- Deal with contractors, vendors, maintenance personal in a way that represents the company well.
- Bridge communication between the kitchen staff and the serving staff and ensure there is a healthy working relationship.
- Manage revenue, expenses and any other finances.
Big Fish & Open Range began as a unique dockside style service to Calgarians in 2005 having been originally named 'Big Fish.' Evenings, weekday lunch, and weekend brunch, all featuring menu items unique to the Big Fish experience were served.
Big Fish looked to continuously provided a better experience for guests by staying on top of the latest seafood trends.
Big Fish also took pride in being an Ocean Wise Partner.
Open Range opened its doors in 2007 as a premier Calgary steak and chop house next door to Big Fish.
Open Range mixed modern with tradition, serving every cut of meat you would expect but preparing it with an interesting variation of flavours.
The vision of Big Fish & Open Range came to be in 2020 after success in providing a duel surf and turf experience.
Rather than operating both businesses independently, the decision was made to combine both restaurant concepts - why have one when you can have both? Thus, customers have the opportunity to order from an expanded menu that offers a larger variety of options to appeal to all tastes and cravings.
Salary:
$50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
