Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk

Downtown Toronto

Our client, a highly respected law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto, has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial Real Estate law Clerk.

Knowledge of purchase, sales, financing is essential. Knowledge of Condo and project development would be considered an asset. You will work with a team of Law Clerks supporting a lawyer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manage and complete commercial purchase and mortgage files from start to finish.
Drafting and coordinating necessary documents required for closing.
Organize/collect material for commercial real estate deals and summarize this information, as needed.
Conduct and review title searches, offtitle searches, and drafting requisitions.
Handle all forms of real estate files, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing.
Handle all related accounting procedures and any other administrative tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of a recognized College Law Clerk Diploma.
Minimum 1015 years experience in all forms of real estate files, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing.
Must have experience with complex commercial transactions, including purchases and sales of commercial properties, construction financing, and corporate loans.
Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 2013 and Document Management systems.
Experience in Teraview and Conveyancer.
Have exceptional written and communication skills, are organized and meticulous with followup and details, and are able to take initiative, prioritize, and multitask.
