The Opportunity:

We are actively seeking an energetic and motivated
Account Representative to join our inside sales team in
Richmond, BC. The primary purpose for this role is adding value by daily contact with our customers including quotations, expediting orders to ensure on time delivery to the customer, entering sales orders, looking after all material needs and assisting the customer with their technical needs by utilizing the resources Ryerson Canada has available


Key Responsibilities:


  • Interacts daily with a large customer base on contractual and transactional business
  • Ensures all inquiries are quoted accurately and in a timely manner to meet customer needs and satisfy company objectives
  • Follows up on all orders and quotations to secure repeat business
  • Maximizes the opportunity to build relationships with previously assigned or new customers
  • Manages full cycle customer orders from creation through delivery
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, including but not limited to account managers, product managers, warehouse operations and an extensive vendor network.
  • Understands and effectively incorporates Ryerson's business goals and concepts to achieve sales and profitability

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of metals distribution inside sales is required
  • Desire to learn about metals and the industries Ryerson supports
  • Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Proficient computer skills with competency in Word, Excel. Mainframe (SAP) and SalesForce experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
  • Positive attitude, competitive, goaloriented, driven with a passion to excel
  • Flexible and solutionsoriented

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
