Our Position


The Capability Development team is a group of learning and performance experts focused on enhancing and empowering field force excellence.

We assess, design, and partner on initiatives to optimize field force operations, capabilities, and performance. Our ambition is to actively develop the performance and potential of ourselves and others.

We believe in optimizing learning opportunities beyond the traditional workshop format and strive to integrate a micro-learning approach that will enable our sales force to learn in the flow of work.

The Capability Development Team leads the development of enterprise-wide capabilities in addition to brand specific learning initiatives.

We partner across the organization to build capabilities in the areas of scientific knowledge, selling skills, customer engagement and performance coaching to support the launch of new products and ensure continued success throughout the product's life cycle.


The Digital Learning Manager will partner with the Capability Development Managers to optimize impact of their performance-based learning plans and drive consistency of processes across the enterprise.


Your role and responsibilities:


  • Lead local strategic Learning and Content Management Systems (LCMS) transformation and evolution that further enhances AZC's modern learning approach (e.g., Xyleme, ACTO, SABA, etc.).
  • Supervise local administrative, maintenance, and governance needs for the LCMS.
  • In partnership with the Cap Dev Managers, design and develop a robust digital learning strategy and tactics which use innovative microlearning and adaptive/training reinforcement technologies to help drive efficient and effective learning experiences (e.g., dynamically generated quizzes, flashcards, smartphone push notifications, gamification, video, podcasts, Workplace social media campaigns, etc.).
  • Be the expert in virtual facilitation, elevate team digital mastery for remote digital facilitation (e.g., Miro, Mural, etc.), recommend technology and train the Cap-Dev team to facilitate with maximum engagement during virtual training.
  • Provide user training and guidance to Cap Dev Managers on how to optimize implementation of digital learning technologies and platforms to complement traditional modalities and improve learning impact.
  • Partner with the Commercial Innovation team to deliver impactful learning experiences that elevate AZC's field force ability to use the digital tools and systems required to implement the omnichannel CX.
  • Maintain relationship with the Global Learning Excellence team for any topics relating to digital learning strategies and tactics.
  • Using qualitative data/metrics, track key performance indicators to measure impact of, and offer insight on, improving performancebased learning plans and learner experience.
  • Create monthly, quarterly and/or yearly performance reports and impact maps.
  • Oversee the content localization process for learning assets in partnership with Cap-Dev Managers.
  • Develop and maintain relevant SOPs related to learning system processes.
  • Final accountability to report and maintain monthly compliance and learning completion scorecard and files for audit purposes (such as Cap Dev quality monitoring and therapeutic area salesforce training certification).
  • Model AZ values and behaviors consistent with organizational culture.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial mindset by leveraging inhouse resources and managing third party suppliers as appropriate.

Your qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in adult education, learning instructional design, instructional technology and/or another related field
  • Relevant experience with adult elearning design principles:
  • Minimum of 3 years of instructional design, e-learning and mobile design using learning methodologies to develop courses, performance measures and report on program outcomes
