ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT, OFFICE ASSISTANT TO NTIP LEAD AND SUPERINTENDENTS OF EDUCATION


The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) employs approximately 4,000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students attending a variety of programs across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington and the City of Guelph.

full-time, temporary 1.0 FTE position. Duties will commence as soon as possible.

Please note:

this job posting is for one 1.0 FTE full-time temporary position (35 hours per week) that is made up of two separate sections.


LOCATION:
Guelph Board Office, (500 Victoria Rd. N, Guelph, ON)


SALARY RANGE:
$19.22 to $23.98 per hour


FTE/HOURS:1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)


BOARD INFORMATION:
OCT Union, 12-month position


Administrative Office Assistant to NTIP Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting to the NTIP Lead, this position is responsible for tracking and maintaining the financial records for the New Teacher Induction Program, as well as tracking special projects funded by the Ministry and preparing required reports.

This position is also responsible for purchasing, generating PCard statements third-party invoicing, cheque requests, deposits, salary recovery and journal entries.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must have an O.S.S.D. or equivalent
  • Experience and working knowledge of budget and accounting practices
  • Good understanding of Board purchasing and accounting policies and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, SDS and Word
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to correspond in written form and to interact effectively with various departments and Board personnel as well as outside vendors

Office Assistant for Superintendents of Education

RESPONSIBILITIES
The function of this position is to provide clerical assistance to the Superintendents of Education.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must have an O.S.S.D. or equivalent
  • Proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammatical usage, and the ability to handle contacts with tact and courtesy
  • Excellent word processing skills using Word; knowledge of Excel, SDS and Edsembli would be a definite asset
