Northern Dock Systems Inc. is seeking an Installation Manager to join our team in Mississauga


The prime function of the Installation Manager is being responsible for the successful completion of all local NDS Equipment Installations.

Working closely with the Installation Coordinator, NDS Install technicians/electricians & subcontractors, the Install Supervisor will lead all efforts in regards to the planning, organizing, scheduling & completion of all new equipment installation projects with a focus on adhering to pre-determined budgets.

The Install Supervisor is also responsible for the review & approval of all new equipment orders prior to purchasing, the preparation and issuing of Purchase Orders, as well as post-project responsibilities such as commissioning, PO revisions, final job costing efforts & reporting.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Manage all NDS Installation efforts across all Equipment, Construction & National Account Work Orders through the following WO statuses
  • Ready for Review, To Be Contacted, To Be Scheduled, Scheduled, To Be Rescheduled, etc.
  • Daily monitoring & managing of all active installation projects/sites, ensuring daily adherence to project budgets and labor requirements.
  • Manage NDS Installation Department budget/P&L (monitor job profitability vs. budget for all install projects)
  • Ensure all Project completion and close out tasks are executed effectively once full scope of work is completed (ie/ Commissioning, Customer Sign Off, Job Costing, etc.
  • Coordinate w/ NDS Master Electrician & Field Service Supervisors to ensure internal & subcontracted resources are assigned appropriately for all installation efforts.
  • Work closely with Service/Install Coordinators to oversee & coordinate scheduling & to appropriately determine labor resource allocations.
  • Work closely with NDS Warehouse/Logistics Team to efficiently arrange equipment deliveries to site in prep of scheduled installations.
  • Work closely with NDS Install Technicians daily to ensure projects are being completed on time & on budget.
  • Support NDS Install Technicians & Electricians as required for all issues relating to all NDS installation projects.
  • Lead NDS Install team meetings, develop processes and provide support for all department staff as needed and required.
  • Develop & Manage all sub vendor relationships (Mech/Elec Installations/Equip/Freight)
  • Review and approve all incoming equipment installation projects prior to being authorized for release to purchasing.
  • Identify discrepancies in pricing models used during quoting & correct as required.
  • Support Sales Team by completing prejob site checks & inspections in preparation of site mobilization (shared responsibility with Field Service Supervisor team)
  • Oversee, develop, revise, and manage NDS Install pricelist.
  • Lead site kickoff meetings with the designated installation team, Sales Reps & Customers as req'd.
  • Identify, action & resolve all NDS/Supplier Warranty considerations for customers that are originally born out of NDS Equipment/Construction & National Account projects

Work hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm


Qualifications:


  • At least 3 years of managerial experience in similar role/industry, overseeing a diverse team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make operational decisions that improve efficiency
  • Experience establishing and using KPIS
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, providing mentorship, coaching, guidance and training as required
  • Experience with CRM and basic Microsoft skills (One Note, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Salary:
From $80,000.00 per year
