JOB SUMMARY
The Billing Service Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of metered and flat rate accounts for residential, commercial and large commercial customers which includes retailer enrolled, net-metered generation and micro-fit generation services.
The Billing Service Associate is also responsible for defining, reconciling and resolving data anomalies and synchronization issues, and disseminating information based on data and analysis completed.
The Billing Service Associate is also required to support the meter to cash process and associated customer service requirements as it relates to bill escalations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential responsibilities of the job include but are not necessarily restricted to the following:
- Perform detailed analysis of current bills identified as anomalies on billing exception reports and adjust all residential, commercial, general service and interval bills accordingly.
- Analyze and report meter communication issues to Meter Data Services on all service and bill schedules.
- Repair the billing and report on the status of revisions for meter irregularities on accounts where Measurement Canada or Key Accounts are involved.
- Perform detailed reviews for retroactive billing adjustments, and work with other work groups to resolve and/or arrange field investigations related to cross meters and metering irregularities and take corrective action.
- Review and resolve all unbilled revenue accounts.
- Resolve escalated customer billing inquiries and advise Customer Contact Agent to enable them to advise the customer.-
- Perform, on a rotational basis, the annual rate reclassification review
- Review current procedures, practices and policies and make recommendations for continuous improvements as required.
- Maintain electronic and paper records associated with customer declaration and designations and assist with routine and ad hoc statistical reports as required.
- Provide support to other areas within Customer Service and other groups as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The terms and conditions of employment for this position are governed by the collective agreement between Hydro Ottawa Limited and IBEW Local 636.

Pay Range Minimum:
$48,708.40
Pay Range Maximum:
$74,815.65
