Mott MacDonald is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Transportation Planner to join our team in Toronto.

If you are a recent graduate or an early career professional (0-3 years of experience) interested in joining a team grounded in connected thinking, we'd like to hear from you.

As a Transportation Planner working as an integral part of the Mott MacDonald team, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting project managers as needed on ongoing urban mobility projects;
  • Researching/collecting, tabulating, analyzing, and presenting data;
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and other data science environments and languages;
  • Creating/contributing to a variety of media; proposals, reports, memoranda, presentations, conceptual drawings, maps, graphics for technical and nontechnical audiences;
  • Interpreting and analyzing technical information such as datasets, drawings, and maps;
  • Undertaking various project coordination tasks and assisting with project management duties such as work planning/scheduling, budget monitoring, and project controls reporting;
  • Support stakeholder and public engagement activities;
  • Engaging with clients and the public as projects require;
  • Perform project documentation control including but not limited to review of submittals, coordination of design review comments and prepare meeting records and minutes;
  • Other duties as necessary.
  • Master's degree in Planning, Engineering, Urban Studies, Geography, or similar;
  • Previous experience in peopleoriented positions, whether professional or service sector;
  • Fully conversant with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of programs;
  • Familiarity (at a minimum; applied experience preferred) with specialized software environments is an asset. Example software environments include Legion, VisWalk, Aimsun, VISSIM, EMME, Synchro, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS platforms, AutoDesk Suite, and other design software such as SketchUp, Infraworks, etc.;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be a proponent of equitable outcomes, sustainable transportation and highquality public space.
