    Accreditation Canada (AC) is accepting applications for Respiratory Therapists, who share our passion for achieving quality health services for all.

    Terms:

    Must be available to participate in a minimum of 10 survey days per year (approximately 2 surveys per year).

    Surveyors must also participate in initial training and complete ongoing learning requirements.

    Continuing education credits can also be earned from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL),and the First National Health Managers Association (FNHMA).

    Accreditation Canada is not recruiting for this health sector in 2024.

    As peer reviewers and champions of quality and safety, your responsibilities include:

    Conducting on-site surveys as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
    Assessing the quality of programs and services against the standards of excellence and identifying areas for improvement;
    Sharing your expertise and providing guidance on best practices in the field;

    Currently employed by an organization that is accredited by ACor actively engaged in the health care or social services field.

    Experience in an executive or senior leadership position.
    Have a valid professional license in a relevant provincial college as a Respiratory Therapist.
    Experience working with others (e.g. patients, clinicians, or administrators) on governance, service design and/or quality improvement initiatives.

    Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience.

    Ability to analyze information and draw conclusions based on direct observation and document review.
    Strong technology skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use web-based software.
    Are fluent in French, Arabic, Farsi, Italian, Slovenian, Spanish or other languages.
