- Produce written reports including Estimate Plans, Basis of Estimate Report, Project Closure Cost Report, and contingency analysis.
- You will work with intermediate level estimators, taking responsibility for their work, and training and mentoring your estimating team.
- Contribute towards improving the estimating department's standards bases on the applicants experience and knowledge.
- Perform cold-eye reviews of estimates produced by other estimators.
- Estimate the impact of scope changes during the project execution phase and work with the Project Manager to develop the project's change-tracking system.
- Understand your estimate's deliverables and schedule and report potential problems in time for the department to assist when required.
- Calculate contingency, risk, and escalation.
- Experience in Resources Industry is required (Oil & Gas, energy, petrochemicals, etc).
- Advanced skills in Excel as well as general skills in Access and Word.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Xeras, Deswik, and Hard Dollar is an asset.
- Advanced skills in written and oral English (other languages an asset)
- Bachelors in engineering, construction or equivalent experience working for large projects.
- Field experience in construction management on large projects is an asset.
