JD Smith is currently recruiting for anOperations Development Project Lead.
Under the direction of the Manager, Operations Development, the Operations Development (Ops Dev) Project Lead will manage projects focused on the design, implementation, and continual improvements of both the new WMS and existing WMS and operational related processes for new and existing customers.
Typical duties will include project management, team leadership, in-depth process reviews, problem solving, WMS testing, user support, training, and process documentation.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and lead projects pertaining to WMS process improvement and implementation.
- Ensure familiarity with existing client base's current processes for adaptation into the new WMS.
- Develop written processes for WMS and Operational tasks to train end users (Admin/RF/Processes).
- Coordinate and deliver WMS training for new and existing users and/or process change.
- Provide primary solution support to CSRs, Supervisors, and Managers as required.
- Stay up to date on WMS changes and advancements, and keep operations staff informed as necessary.
- Support a wide array of projects from new warehouse account startups, packaging projects, transitions from other 3PLs, systems implementations, and process improvements.
- Such other duties that are assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
years' experience in a similar role
- Postsecondary education
- Experience with WMS software and warehouse operations
- Project management experience
- Process and change management experience
- Must have a valid drivers' licence and reliable transportation to be able to travel to different facilities or offsite locations may be required.
- Must be flexible with work schedules and adjust as required; overtime may be required from time to time.
- Able to give instruction and direction to others with confidence.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse environment as required.

$65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
