***Forepersons, Pipefitting possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. The Foreperson, Pipefitting is also responsible for the management of their crew in the field.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Based out of our Whitecourt location
  • Paid subsistence and travel
  • Shift work most long weekends off
  • Fieldbased position

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Onsite pipe install
  • Running a 35 person crew

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Read and interpret redline construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's, etc.)
  • Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
  • Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority

Experience

  • Must have experience managing crews in the field

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Must be able to pass preemployment drug & alcohol testing
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors
