Position Summary

This position is responsible for hand polishing the stone to ensure that there are smooth surfaces and it meets the needs of the end client.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Hand polish all profiles from CNC machine
Use air polishers to clean out and polish any areas the CNC machines cannot
Measure and inspect parts during processing to ensure they meet specification
Fabricate stone as required to ensure that angles and corners meet the specifications
Polish, cut to size and label backsplash
Use job tracking system to keep accurate records and details of pieces
Conduct regular general cleaning of equipment and work area
Work in a safe manner that complies with all Safety Guidelines
Contribute to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Strong ability in measuring and inspecting finished product
Positive attitude with a dedication to high quality work and artisanship
Experience working with stone countertop production an asset
Experience with air and or electric tools an asset
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Attention to details
Outstanding attendance and punctuality
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
