About the Role
The Manager, Corporate Partnerships assists in the planning and execution of partnership and leadership development initiatives.

This role works collaboratively to manage a portfolio of current and potential stakeholders/partners/clients/donors and implements plans for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of such partnerships, sponsorships, and projects.


The Manager, Corporate Partnerships provides exceptional organizational support to ensure successful implementation of Food Banks Canada's mandate while ensuring a positive image of Food Banks Canada with its membership, stakeholders and the public.

These activities include supporting the VP, Partnerships and the Director, Corporate Partnerships with partnership relationship cultivation, solicitation, support and stewardship and communication for large multi-faceted partnerships, leading strategic initiatives on behalf of the development team, donor database support, and other team projects.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Work within a collaborative framework to broker strategic relationships and corporate partnership opportunities that raise funds and food to benefit the food bank network
  • Build corporate relationship loyalty through meticulous service, support, and creative problem solving
  • Implement annual corporate development plans to deepen partner relationships and meet budget targets (cause related marketing, corporate sponsorships, employee engagement, POS, etc.)
  • Manage a portfolio of partners leveraging "Moves Management" phases and stewardship activities to secure new, and grow current, corporate partnerships to meet or exceed annual revenue and food targets
  • Evaluate partnership success and identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate on preparation and presentation of yearend review and impact documents
  • Monitor and track all contractual obligations with Programs, Finance and Network teams to ensure project compliance
  • Respond to prospective corporate opportunities and food bank network inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work collaboratively with the Development team to identify, cultivate prospects, develop pitch decks, conduct donor analysis
  • Represent Food Banks Canada at various corporate and industry events and meetings
  • Contribute to annual organizational planning/projects, departmental budgeting and planning
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in corporate development, fundraising, and/or sponsorship
  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or equivalent
  • Experience working in the nonprofit sector
  • Experience working in a team environment across multiple stakeholder groups, both internal and external
  • Experience with managing donor/client relationships and managing partners within a Move's Management framework
  • Exceptional skills in networking, presenting, and pitching, with demonstrated capacity to manage prospects through the full "Moves Management" cycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation/agreement, stewardship) to a successful close
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM database; experience with MS Mission is a strong asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Working Conditions

  • Fulltime, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work.
    This position is homebased but must be located within 100km of the Greater Toronto Area.
