The Intrepid Lab (formerly Nicotine Dependence Service) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Coordinator to support a range of digital health innovation, research, quality improvement and implementation activities.


Intrepid Lab is an integrated group of clinicians, researchers and program administrators who design, develop, deliver and evaluate healthcare interventions and services with a focus on nicotine dependence as well as modifiable risk factors for chronic disease.

Our aim is to develop solutions to overcome limitations of the healthcare system and scale up these solutions rapidly.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing project coordination support for multiple projects/research studies, including tracking workplans, leading meetings with internal/external stakeholders and ensuring deliverables are met
  • Work closely with Scientists at Intrepid Lab to support all phases of research, including proposal development, recruitment, and conducting feasibility studies
  • Working closely with software developers to support all stages of the software development lifecycle (including planning, user acceptable and beta testing) for various digital health tools, including a mobile app and Chatbot
  • Liaising with new and existing program implementers; engaging with program decisionmakers
  • Working with internal services to ensure drug protocols for a feasibility study are defined prior to beginning recruitment
  • Conducting literature reviews, analyzing data and summarizing evidence into various formats (scientificpapers, manuscripts, reports, briefs, proposals and presentations for diverse audience groups)
  • Preparing proposal submissions to, and ensuring compliance with, CAMH's Research Ethics Board
  • Preparing manuscripts
  • Completing project progress reports (as needed)

Qualifications:


Key qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of data management across the research lifecycle, including creation, processing, analysis, preservation, access, reuse of research data, and qualitative methodology,
  • Familiarity working with digital health interventions related to tobacco dependence treatment,
  • Knowledge of software development cycles and validation,
  • Familiarity with training methodology for chatbots (i.e. wizard of oz etc.),
  • Experience conducting literature reviews and knowledge of university library databases and reference management software,
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and determined attitude towards ensuring accuracy and integrity,
  • Excellent problemsolving and criticalthinking skills,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Familiarity with project and workplan coordination; facilitating team meetings,
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment,
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.


Superior interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with a diverse population and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

This full-time, contract (12 months) position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.


Salary Range:
$ $48.30 per hour
