What we offer


Reporting to Director, FP&A for Mattamy Asset Management, the Financial Analyst - FP&A will be responsible for consolidated monthly management reporting, quarterly bondholder call materials, annual 5-year plan for budgeting and forecasting, and ad hoc analysis for the business.

This position interacts regularly with Mattamy Homes Canada & Mattamy Homes US corporate teams as well as the Mattamy Asset Management leadership team and is based out of our downtown Toronto office.


What you'll do

  • Prepare Mattamy Asset Management (MAM) and Mattamy Group Corporation (MGC) internal reporting presentations for Executives and Board of Directors comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year with appropriate commentary and explanations
  • Build and consolidate MAM and MGC annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 5year plan (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement) including commentary and supporting schedules
  • Prepare quarterly bondholder call materials, peer earning call summaries, competitors peer analysis, etc.
  • Work with department owners to support MAM and MGC Corporate G&A management, analysis, and planning
  • Work with country corporate teams and other MAM segments to estimate Central Service Allocation (CSA)
  • Accountable for maintaining, developing, and evolving MAM financial models
  • Assist to prepare MGC bondholder call materials for quarterly bondholder calls
  • Assist with Fair Market Value analysis, Mattamy Team Incentive plans, business & financial analytics, management reporting improvement initiatives & peer benchmarking analysis
  • Assist with the launch recommendations and reporting on Mattamy New Business Launches
  • Provide analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in key performance drivers
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of internal reports, including enhancing financial analysis models and streamlining analysis and processes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with finance and business partners
  • Ad hoc analysis as required

  • Bachelor's degree, with a focus in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Professional designation CPA, CFA, or CBV completed or in advanced stages
  • 13 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields with solid understanding of financial statements
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling is required
  • Hands on, selfmotivated, detail oriented with ability to think strategically
  • Ability to cope in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent relationship building with a strong customer focus and a collaborative working style
  • Experience with Enterprise Solutions an asset e.g. JD Edwards, Essbase, Hyperion, SmartView, OneStream
  • Sound business judgement with ability to understand operational decisions and their impact on financial results
