Job Description:


The Bookings and Adjustments Department is part of the Client Services team and is responsible for taking all customer requests for new shipments and implementing them into the MSC Canada in house system, (LINK) in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

The team also makes amendments to shipments based on client request (vessel allocation, rates etc.) The purpose of the Bookings & Adjustments Department is to take care of the customer's needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high-quality service, assistance while providing an exceptional customer experience.


Key accountabilities:

  • Provide the best possible customer service (measured by accuracy and effectiveness of communication) while resolving customer issues.
  • Create and implement bookings for clients based on their requests and needs.
  • Respond and adjust all bookings based on changes/corrections advised by the customer, colleagues, upper management.
  • Create prebookings by entering customer request details into the internal system.
  • Implement all data from the system to create booking confirmations to send to the client.
  • Extensive verification of vessel space, allocation, inventory, equipment, quote validity, special equipment.
  • Create all hazardous bookings.
  • Create EDI bookings (bookings premade within our internal system).
  • Verify, amend and update all bookings adjustments i.e. destination changes, container count, size type.
  • Utilize reports and understand such as: equipment inventory, release depots, sailing schedules etc.

Qualifications:


All MSC Canada employees are expected to exhibit the

  • High school diploma required.
  • Equivalent experience, an asset
  • 02 years of experience preferred.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • The standard hours of work are from
    08:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, with possibility of working flexible hours, once or twice a week, from 11:30 a.m to 8:00 p.m.
