As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Kanata, Ontario.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local financial regulations.
Coordinate and oversee the Year End process.
Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Provide training and support to the finance team to ensure continuous professional development.
Lead the budgeting process, ensuring accurate and comprehensive budget preparation and monitoring.
Provide detailed financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proven experience in developing and implementing financial controls and procedures.
Aboveaverage computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in ecommerce is considered an asset.
Experience with NetSuite.
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
