INTERMEDIATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGER
Gwaii Engineering is an Indigenous-owned Civil and Environmental Engineering Firm based in Victoria, BC.

ROLE:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently managing a variety of environmental investigation projects (Phase I, II ESA's/Stage 1, 2 PSIs II, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation) in both federal and provincial environmental regulatory settings.
• Project planning, implementation, coordinating fieldwork (in town and out of town).
• Review of project budgets and expenses to ensure good project performance.
• Preparation of reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy for legal instruments.
• Preparing environmental proposals and workplans.
• Experience with hazardous material surveys/mitigation projects is considered an asset.
• Management of construction environmental monitoring projects.
• Business development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• University degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
• Professional status or designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., R.P.Bio.).
• Comprehensive understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation.
• Knowledge and experience working with First Nations in BC and/or First Nations membership is an asset.
• Demonstrated project management experience on a variety of small, medium and large projects.
• The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary:
$90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
