Who You'll Work With


Reporting to the Director, Health Education & Engagement, the role will work closely with operations, marketing and account management across IMD and CloudMD to generate and execute on revenue generating opportunities.

Working in the Health Education & Engagement division of CloudMD, you will be responsible for building relationships within the Pharmaceutical and medical device industries.


What You'll Be Doing


The Business Development Manager position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on health education and engagement, through the IMD platform, a patient education tool used by health professionals.

Centered at the point of care, healthcare professionals use iMD's cloud-based platform to engage with their patients at a deeper level, optimizing knowledge transfer surrounding a patient's condition and treatment plan.

This is done through the seamless integration of patient-friendly diagrams, booklets, and videos from Canada's leading health associations into an award-winning user interface that makes patient education efficient and effective.


  • Initiate, cultivate, and develop strong relationships with potential clients
  • Understand each customer's needs and market position, and provide proactive recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demos, proposals, and accompanying documents throughout the sales cycle
  • Negotiate client contracts and agreements to maximize profit and client satisfaction
  • Track activities and ensure records of accounts, contacts, and opportunities are kept updated
  • Provide input on new market areas and/or contribute to new solutions
  • Ensure a smooth transition to the account management teams, collaboratively working together to successfully onboard new clients or new services for existing clients

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 12 years of proven sales experience

What You Need to Stand Out

  • Previous experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers is considered an asset
  • Previous experience with sales in a healthcare environment is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in marketing is considered an asset
  • Selfmotivation and able to work independently
  • Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Analytical and strong problemsolving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail and prioritize
