Manager, Event Services

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Manager, Event Services at SJC Media specializing in Signature Lifestyle Events, intimate thought leadership experiences, and exceptional client servicing.


Responsibilities:


Event Production, planning and executionConceptualize, plan, and execute highprofile signature events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients, vendors and attendees.Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create compelling event materials and promotions.Negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee logistics.Source, negotiate with, and manage a network of topnotch vendors, including venues, caterers, entertainment, and production services; Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure seamless event logistics.Create and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources without compromising on quality. Develop and adhere to timelines to ensure all aspects of the event planning process stay on track.


Client Event Management:

Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and objectives.Plan and execute client events, from intimate gatherings to largescale conferences, ensuring client satisfaction.Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the main point of contact


Internal Operations Management:

Streamline and optimize internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Oversee logistics, budgets, and timelines for annual and internal projects.Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational goals


Team Collaboration:

Foster collaboration and communication across teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to membership, signature events, and internal operations.Work closely with the events team, sales, editorial and project management teams to align strategies and achieve collective goals.Conduct thorough postevent evaluations, gathering feedback from clients and attendees, and identifying areas for improvement to continually elevate future events


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, business, or a related field. Proven 8 years + of experience in event planning and execution, with a focus on small to larger events. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with client relationship management tools. Strategic thinker with a proactive and problemsolving mindset. Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing. Experience with the following platforms:

  • Naviga (CRM), Microsoft Office, G-Suite, WordPress, Campaign Monitor, STRIPE, Eventbrite/Ticket Sauce, PressBoard and Google Analytics
  • Experience managing a team that reports directly to you.
Experience working with budgets. Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
