To support our expanding business in China and Africa, we are seeking an experienced Senior Mineral Processing Technology Engineer with exceptional bilingual capabilities to join our global team.
Job Description
As a Senior Mineral Processing Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for providing professional technical support and services to global clients, with particular focus on the Chinese and African markets. You will utilize your expertise and experience to address clients' technical challenges in mineral processing, optimize processing flowchart and improve production efficiency and economic benefits. This position requires excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide technical support for mineral processing plant design, optimization, and modification
· Develop customized technical solutions for clients in China and Africa
· Design mineral processing test programs and provide on-site commissioning and technical guidance
· Prepare bilingual technical reports, operation manuals, and training materials
· Conduct technical exchanges and business communications with clients and partners in China and Africa
· Participate in research and development of new technologies and their application development
· Provide professional advice on equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and production optimization
· Travel regularly to project sites in China and Africa to provide technical support and training
· Collect market technical requirements and provide suggestions for product development and technology upgrades
Qualifications
· Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
· Experience:
· Minimum 8 years of experience in mineral processing plant design, operation, or technical service
· International project experience, particularly in China or Africa
· Familiarity with various mineral processing methods (flotation, gravity separation, magnetic separation, etc.) and equipment
· Language Skills:
· Fluent in both Chinese and English with excellent bilingual technical communication abilities
· Proficient in preparing technical documents and reports in both languages
· Professional Competencies:
· Proficient in mineral processing flow sheet design and optimization methods
· Capable of designing mineral processing tests and analyzing data
· Familiar with equipment performance characteristics and selection criteria
· Knowledge of international mining standards and regulations
· Core Attributes:
· Detail-oriented, responsible, and meticulous work attitude
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong cross-cultural communication and teamwork abilities
· Willingness to undertake frequent international travel (approximately 6-8 trips annually, 1-4 weeks per trip)
· Technical Skills:
· Proficient in mineral processing design software (e.g., JKSimMet, MetSMART)
· Advanced skills in MS Office and data processing tools
Preferred Qualifications
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
· Proficiency in French, Portuguese, or relevant African languages
· Experience with mineral processing plant design or modification projects in China or Africa
· Published research papers on mineral processing technology in SCI-indexed journals
· Familiarity with automation control systems and digital mining technologies
