COORDINATOR


The Coordinator supports all members of the Donor Relations & Resource Development team, including its volunteers, to implement divisional and departmental plans.

This role also initiates actions and research in support of resource development activities, and maintains accurate and complete data files and records.


  • Specifically, this position:
  • Work collaboratively with other members of your department to implement a Departmental Plan that aligns with the organization's Strategic Plan and budgeting
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and other members of your department to ensure that all stakeholders have meaningful experiences that lead them to be confident and passionate ambassadors of United Way of Winnipeg
  • Participate as a member of the bargaining unit, specifically Unifor and it's Local 19
  • Provide primary administrative support to committees and subcommittees as assigned, including:
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Attending meetings as required to record minutes and/or to assist with technology
  • Liaising with Campaign Managers and/or Individual Giving and/or Planned Giving Managers and other staff to collect key information and create appropriate reports for distribution
  • Identifying action items established at meetings
  • Followthrough on action items as assigned
  • Maintain accurate and complete data files and records
  • Processing donations
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports and materials, including large mailings
  • Prepare nonroutine correspondence and handling telephone enquiries by providing accurate and sensitive responses
  • Assist in conducting individual/ corporate research to support divisional and departmental priorities
  • Undertake special projects as required
  • Use Andar on a daily basis to strengthen stakeholder relationships in support of meeting our organizational goals
  • Participate in regular department or team meetings
  • Assist others in the organization by completing other duties as assigned, such as:
  • Switch board relief
  • Work as a team with all members of the organization on special projects such as:
  • Annual General Meeting
  • Other organizational events and initiatives

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
You possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:

  • A business certificate and two years' related experience or some equivalent combination
  • Extensive word processor, database, and other computer experience (including intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with particular attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Respectful of confidentiality
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fastpaced, changing environment and manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to take initiative and demonstrate imagination and resourcefulness
