Work Location

This is an onsite role as the hiring team will require the student to come to the Markham office. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.

About the Department


The Graphics Platform PM Team works with many internal engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced and fun environment to execute on graphics board program schedules.

The Role

The purpose of the Board Program Management Co-op is to drive the prototype board production process.

What you'll be doing

Co-ordinate and drive efficient program execution through active leadership, clear communication, effective organization, and accurate planning
Manage the sampling process for both internal engineering teams and customers
Drive & track many aspects of board product schedules
Manage technical issues, expectations and risk both within the Program Team and with internal customers to ensure products meet their time-to-market window within acceptable quality targets
Oversee material sourcing, particularly for long-lead components
Provide frequent and concise updates to the Platform PM, the program team and internal customers on plans, status and risk mitigation
Opportunity to initiate and drive process improvements initiatives in order to improve overall execution of programs


What you will learn:


You will gain a fundamental understanding of the graphics board development process, including aspects of design and manufacturing of cutting-edge graphics boards.

You will be exposed to numerous technical and non-technical teams and gain experience working with highly skilled engineers and program managers in the field of advanced technologies.


Requirements:

Working towards the successful completion of an Engineering Degree
Self-sufficient tendencies and initiative—the ability to drive self-made goals through to completion with little supervision
Excellent communication skills and the desire to work collaboratively
Organization, prioritization and planning skills
A desire to work in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment
Leadership skills proven through project examples
