As a member of the Customer Monitoring and Remediation Team within Canadian Credit Cards, as a Business Insights Analyst, you will have the opportunity to support the preventive monitoring activities in order to increase customer experience and business processes.
You will play a key role in supporting various business partners with issue and/or incident remediation through reporting to identify impacted population and financial impacts.
Job Description:
Canadian Credit Cards is the largest dual issuer of Visa and MasterCard Products and holds the position of #1 market share in Canada.
TD Consumer and Business credit cards are distributed nationally, leveraging our retail network direct responses and key co-brand partnerships including Aeroplan, Amazon and Air Canada.
The Proactive Monitoring Team applies advanced data analytics and automatic testing to support Canadian Credit Cards business to proactively identify potential risk and enhancement opportunities.
We understand the business, its risks and regulatory requirements and are the Subject Matter Experts on the related data across all systems.
We Perform appropriate monitoring and/or testing activities in four main areas using a risk-based approach and report out to the business and control partners on the results.
Preventive activities:
Project Implementation and Process Verification
Data Fulfillment activities:
Fulfill Data Requests pertaining to Regulatory Information for Issues, Incidents, Customer Complaints, Project Support - PAM Testing when opportunities and resource assistance is available.
Risk Partner and Regulatory Information: 2nd and 3rd line of defense (Audit/Compliance/ORM etc.) and Regulators (FCAC, OSFI etc.) Data Map/View.
Requirements:
As a member of the Customer Monitoring and Remediation Team within Canadian Credit Cards, as a Business Insights Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Proactive Monitoring team, specifically working as part of CRDS - Credit Risk Data Support, the primary accountabilities of the role are:
- Creation and delivery of requests for information (RRFIs) reports primarily based on credit card processor account data or transactional data to support various Business Units (Product, Incident Management, Issue Management, ICARUS, Business Governance and Control, Audit, etc.)
- Provide consultation for Business Units regarding report requirements data
- Support timely reporting for issue and/or incident investigations investigation and remediation
- Design solutions for data retrieval to best meet the needs of the business in an effective manner
- Assist with delivery of new business metrics and operational efficiencies within the CM&R Team
- Participate in the development of new proactive monitoring activities through detail research and understanding of current bank regulations, policies, and processes
- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team
- Participate fully as a member of the team, participate/assist in departmental committees providing insight and recommendations, and contribute to a positive work environment
- Willingness to broaden and increase knowledge of new reporting tools and systems
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Demonstrate knowledge of SQL, Python, and some familiarity of SAS.
- Good understanding of the TD Card and/or MBNA Card portfolios and the lines of business supported
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues
- Superior time management skills; be able to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities successfully
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Innovative, results oriented and conceptual thinker
- Observed leadership abilities and desire to assume responsibility for deliverables

Additional Skills:
- Experience with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is an asset
- Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Access is an asset
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an asset
Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:
- University Degree or College Diploma, with specialty in computer sciences, computer programming, mathematics, engineering, or related field would be considered an asset
