    Description

    Job Summary

    The Fall Student will be part of the Estate and Trust Advisory team which provides advisory services pertaining to estates, trusts, and unique assets. As part of this team, they will support the Private Company Advisory team as well as the Wills and Trusts Resource Group.

    Job Description

    What will you do?

    The roles and responsibilities will vary depending on the team you are assigned to but could include:

    • Assist in the design, creation, and implementation of a reference resource for staff in order to create standardization and consistency;
    • Consolidate national private company data from multiple sources and assist in streamlining the annual review process.
    • Ensure that all required documents pertaining to private companies have been received and that corporation information profiles are up to date

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have

    • Working towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, CFA, or other related field
    • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
    • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy
    • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
    • Ability to think critically and "outside the box"

    Nice-to-have

    • Knowledge and an understanding of financial statement analysis
    • Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel (including using Excel as a tool for financial analysis) Word, PowerPoint, Access

    Please note:

    In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

    • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
    • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
