Position:
Receiving Manager

Reports to:
Store Manager
This is your opportunity to advance your career in a leadership role.

As the Receiving Manager, you will manage the Receiving department to ensure that all departments are prepared for daily operations.

What you'll do:

Hire, motivate and mentor Team Members
Lead, coach and train Team Members to maintain the highest level of productivity and engagement
Resolve Team Member and customer issues as they arise
Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards
Uphold company policies and procedures including health & safety, food safety and loss prevention and hold your team accountable to maintain set standards
Merchandise, manage inventory, schedule and be accountable for financial objectives
Implement initiatives that support company objectives
Monitor local competitors and react to local market conditions
Provide exceptional customer service to all Team Members, Customers and Vendors

What we are looking for:

Post secondary education and a minimum of 2 years of food retail experience
12 years supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified Forklift Operator and certified trainer
Knowledge of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety and Loss Prevention practices
Knowledge of temperature control
Radio Frequency gun knowledge
Ability to verbally communicate with customers and staff to understand what is wanted and expected from them. Enhancing relationships with customers through verbal interaction
Strong organization and tactical planning skills
Strong initiative ability, excellent work ethic and a sense of urgency
Ability to work in a high paced time constrained environment
Strong sense of ownership, drive and enthusiasm
Strong leadership, motivation, coaching, development and mentoring skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new situations, as well as new and changing processes, programs and services

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a store retail environment
Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
Travel is required to support offsite events
