Role Overview
The Bartender/Server Shift Leader is a key presence on the floor — setting the tone for service, supporting the team, and ensuring guests receive attentive, seamless hospitality. This role blends hands-on service with leadership, helping guide service flow, maintaining standards, and acting as a bridge between front of house, bar, and kitchen.
You'll bartend and serve while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture: pacing, communication, guest experience, and the overall energy of the room.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Guest Experience
- Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service at the bar and on the floor
- Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and care
- Anticipate guest needs and support service recovery when needed
- Help maintain a welcoming, calm, and organized dining room
Shift Leadership
- Act as point person during service, supporting staff and troubleshooting issues
- Assist with running smooth shifts: pacing, sections, communication, and flow
- Ensure standards for service, cleanliness, and atmosphere are upheld
- Support opening and closing procedures
Bar & Beverage
- Execute cocktails, wine, and beer service with consistency and attention to detail
- Contribute ideas and feedback on cocktails and the beverage program
- Help maintain bar organization, prep, and inventory awareness
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices
Team Support
- Foster a positive, respectful team culture
- Help coach and support newer staff during service
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and management
- Step in where needed — we operate as a team
What We're Looking For
- Strong service instincts and situational awareness
- Bartending experience with comfort in classic and house cocktails
- Leadership presence without ego — calm, steady, and solutions-focused
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while staying guest-focused
- Reliability, professionalism, and open availability (including weekends)
- Genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and being part of a growing restaurant
Nice to Have
- Experience in a leadership or keyholder role
- Interest in wine, cocktails, or beverage development
- A mindset of continuous improvement — always looking for ways to make the room better
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
