We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.

Electrician with PLC programming and troubleshooting to increase uptime, throughput, efficiency and quality.

Maintaining, designing, developing and continuously improving our equipment and the utilization of technology to ensure the best quality frames are produced.


Job Location:
Calgary, Alberta


Pay Rate:
Starts at $37.57/hour plus shift premium (if applicable)


Shift:
All shifts, flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)


Responsibilities:


  • PLC troubleshooting and programming for large automation production lines, both onsite and remotely.
  • Navigating and creating Standard PLC structures, programming for Rockwell PLC's.
  • Have basic knowledge of and troubleshoot Fanuc Robots and PLC interfaces.
  • Be familiar and work with Allen Bradley Safety PLCs.
  • Network interfacing for onmachine and plant communication via Ethernet.
  • Be familiar with HMI programing using Factory Talk View Studio ME/SE.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies.
  • Interact with the team members running the line to look for improvements or ideas to improve your/their job/task and improve line Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Preventative maintenance on Equipment identify weakness in design and implement improvements. Take pride in workmanship and when performing skilled work develop procedures to educate and train other team members performing the same work.
  • Inspects, repairs, installs and maintains electrical systems, machinery and equipment.
  • Expert in day to day trouble shooting on processing, packaging and auxiliary equipment of plant.
  • Sound knowledge of PLC and other automation and electrical system of various brands (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Will continue to upgrade skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Follow all GMP, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards.

Job Requirements:


  • Completion of an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician course or equivalent from a community or recognized college program consisting of two years or more and/or a Certificate of Qualification in a recognized trade
  • Licensed Electrician with 3 years of proven experience within an industrial setting.
  • Good command of the English language
  • Excellent Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Flexibility to work weekends
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively

- _ High mechanical aptitude or Millwright Ticket an asset._
- _ Previous experience in food manufacturing an asset_
