Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Red Seal Certified Carpenter Site Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:

Requirements:

Red Seal Certification in Carpentry

Minimum of 10 years of experience in carpentry and ability to direct site

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

Framing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures with strong layout abilities

Constructing, installing, and repairing cabinets, shelves, doors, and other wooden components

Install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

Performing general carpentry duties as required on construction sites

Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors as part of a team

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams (apprentices & other construction workers) effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders

Finishing carpentry skills and knowledge an asset

Ability to prepare cost estimates for clients an asset
