We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Career Services Manager.


Responsibilities
As the Manager of Career Services, you are passionate about connecting students to the workforce.

You are an engaging, motivating, and outgoing individual who excels at developing relationships with employers that help to secure employment opportunities and on the job training (OJT) opportunities for students.

Opportunities to network with employers and stakeholders by attending public and business-related events is something you seek out and enjoy.

You'll turn various employer relationships into real OJT or permanent job opportunities for students and explore/propose potential partnership opportunities.


You thrive off working in a target driven environment and can break down any barriers to would prevent your ability to maintain a sufficient amount of job leads to meet demand of all graduates and ensure students OJT process is efficient and successful.

You will ensure team targets for permanent placement of students are met and additionally, report on quality of the jobs secured by students.


You are someone that can work with education to expand the employer market for graduates, strategically target programs that require growth of to meet market demand and ensure quick response to employers' inquiries for permanent or temporary placement needs.


You are someone who welcomes feedback and would conduct regular analysis of graduate and employer feedback, using it in developing the department's priorities and ensuring appropriate record keeping.


You are leading the partnership with the Centre of Excellence in implementing events, workshops, presentations, for high schools and stakeholders.


Lastly, you'll ensure consistent delivery of the Oulton College proprietary career readiness curriculum and ensure resources and support are provided to students to prepare them for their career.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a customer focused environment
  • Be a team player and have strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Have excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Have strong relationship building/networking skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Adaptable to change
  • Experience in career development and employment skills is an asset
  • Interest in the health sector considered an asset
  • Bilingual will be considered a strong asset
