Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate Therapeutic Recreation Manager who wants to be part of the transformational change at our facility in Millrise.

You will be part of a diverse care team that will provide services to our clients.

You will be part of a collaborative team that will conduct joint care planning with a focus on client-centered goals addressing client's physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual domains, creating a holistic care plan.

We provide care and independence to our residents, using a client

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, evaluate, and monitor recreational programs by residents' interests and needs
Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individual resident recreational plans and interventions
Develops and delivers programs for individuals and groups
Evaluates the success of treatment and intervention plans and the outcomes achieved
Provides staff with clinical education and direction to client leisure and activation as well as planning and delivery
Supervise and provide guidance to recreation therapy aides to implement recreation programs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Leisure Studies, or equivalent
At least 3 years recent related experience
Able to work autonomously, with mínimal supervision
Membership with good standing in ATRA
Current First Aid and CPR
Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and frequent movement and bending
All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check
