Position Summary


We are seeking a dynamic, passionate Therapeutic Recreation Manager who wants to be part of the transformational change at our facility in Millrise.

You will be part of a diverse care team that will provide services to our clients.

You will be part of a collaborative team that will conduct joint care planning with a focus on client-centered goals addressing client's physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual domains, creating a holistic care plan.

We provide care and independence to our residents, using a client


Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and monitor recreational programs by residents' interests and needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individual resident recreational plans and interventions
  • Develops and delivers programs for individuals and groups
  • Evaluates the success of treatment and intervention plans and the outcomes achieved
  • Provides staff with clinical education and direction to client leisure and activation as well as planning and delivery
  • Supervise and provide guidance to recreation therapy aides to implement recreation programs.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Leisure Studies, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years recent related experience
  • Able to work autonomously, with mínimal supervision
  • Membership with good standing in ATRA
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and frequent movement and bending
  • All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check
