Sterling Rivers is searching for a passionate and driven Supply Chain and Systems Manager.

This senior leadership role is responsible for leading and developing the end-to-end supply chain process from product procurement to distribution, by implementing progressive sourcing strategies that deliver cost efficiencies, assurances of uninterrupted supply with mínimal stock outs, and quality throughout procurement and delivery of services.

This role will report directly to and work closely with the CEO and Cofounder.

    And here's what we need from the person who fills this role:

Leadership:


  • Lead the supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing, operations, and logistics functions.
  • Develop supply chain business strategy and plans, create targets and KPI's and a system for tracking and reporting departmental performance.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings with the CEO and other departments including operations, human resources and finance.
  • Initiate and participate in operational and strategic meetings with external stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ensure excellent supply chain planning and coordinating is provided, by guiding and coaching the department and overseeing daytoday operations and logistics.
Set department and individual quarterly goals, hold regular performance feedback conversations.

  • Formalize and streamline the department by developing guidelines, processes & manuals.
  • Support Human Resources with departmental recruiting, orientation and role transitions.
The Supply Chain and Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring all responsibilities below are professionally delivered. They are expected to delegate and prioritize these responsibilities for themselves and their team members


Operations Planning and Execution:


  • This role will identify and screen service providers and suppliers, develop strategic relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and continuously drive improvement in supplier service levels through strong leadership of all supply chain functions ensuring a reliable and costeffective supply chain.
  • Lead and execute the warehousing strategy to ensure connection between suppliers and customers and play a key role in ensuring goods and materials flow smoothly throughout the supply chain. With a continuous improvement mindset, optimize cost management, negotiate 3PL contracts and ensure program executions are fully integrated to support internal business plans and objectives.
  • Working with ocean logistics providers ensure efficient movement of goods with optimized distribution across North America. Negotiate the best terms and contracts and manage costs.
  • Manage and coordinate logistics information to ensure timely, accurate and full communication throughout the supply chain network.
  • Continuous development and improvement of supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency utilizing proactive planning and forecasting strategies.
  • Monitor product quality performance and incident rates and achieve reduction in incidence through continuous improvement, supplier accountability and claims and cost management
  • Create and execute actionable steps the organization can take to prepare their supply chain for scalability.
  • Research, negotiate and lead the implementation of a supply chain systems solution to help support the company's functions and needs.
  • Review supply chain processes and identify areas for improvements this includes business process reengineering by assessing current processes, identifying potential problems or bottlenecks, and determining how best to address them in an effort to optimize departmental functions.
  • Teams ensure alignment with internal functions including product development, marketing, sales and client relations and finance.
  • Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supply chain performance and forecasting parameters.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to implement innovative solutions that drive competitive advantage.
  • Track and analyze data and provide insights to support strategic decisionmaking related to the supply chain.
