Enrolment and Market Research Assistant, Pace - Winnipeg, Canada - University of Winnipeg
Description
The PACE department provides education and training for adult learners during the day and evening in a wide variety of part-time and full-time program areas using delivery methods of live in-person, live online and online asynchronous.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for all program inquires both electronic and inperson.
- Provides advisement and assistance to prospective students throughout the enrolment phase.
- Closely monitors interest in programs and provides ongoing reports to aid in the implementation of strategic recruitment and marketing efforts.
- Attends departmental meetings to share data and ensure program managers are aware of trends their impact on enrolments.
- Attends recruitment events to promote PACE.
- Actively communicates with program managers in relation to general interest in programs and insights into student questions and inquires.
- Places orders as necessary for promotional materials specific to student engagement and events.
- Provides support to supervising manager in relation to marketing and other areas, identifying discrepancies and proposing solutions.
- Participates in student orientation week.
- Conduct research and complies reports on competitor program offerings via data sets obtained via partnerships, institutional websites and/or program booklets and other documents.
- Research and reports on industry trends, provincial and national labour market reports, programming information from postsecondary institutions and other organizations, and information disseminated from other relevant sources.
- Develops and manages an uptodate competitor analysis database.
- Supports research for crossfunctional teams, ensuring appropriate information and data is gathered for program decisionmaking.
- Prepares market research reports and when applicable presents to senior management.
Qualifications:
- High school completion or equivalent program of studies with office skills training.
- Completion of postsecondary training program is an asset, such as: Project Management, business admin etc.
- Some University or College experience is an asset
- 4 years of directly related office and customer service experience.
- Knowledge of data gathering and analysis techniques an asset.
- Knowledge of University admissions guidelines, processes required.
- Good working knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Knowledge of University of Winnipeg, and PACE Professional Studies area an asset.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple channels and create documentation reports for various stakeholders.
- Public speaking.
- Able to organize and prioritize projects/events/responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Creative thinking and problemsolving skills.
- Able to work independently and be committed to seeing a project through completion.
- Valid Manitoba Driver's license would be an asset as some travel for external meetings will be required.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Clientservice orientation.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Condition(s) of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
