Primary Focus:


The Security Site Supervisor working with the Manager's Security and Life Safety Manager at the Property will be expected to lead the Property in reaching the goals and objectives that have been iterated throughout this Agreement.

This position is one of leadership, customer service, extensive emergency management experience, and outstanding diplomacy skills.


The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the security and life safety program at the Property, and the provision of the Security and Life Safety Services at the Property.

Working with the Manager's Security and Life Safety Manager at the Property, this supervisory position is tasked with managing all of the Contractor's responsibilities under this Agreement.

The Security Site Supervisor will focus attention on maintaining company standards and industry best practice in the areas of Emergency Management, Operational Management, Personnel & Staffing, Budget & Administration, Health & Safety and other relevant Security & Life Safety Department functions.

A critical component of this position is quality assurance to ensure overall compliance with required standards.

The Security Site Supervisor will establish and maintain key contacts with internal, tenant, public authority, supplier, and security industry stakeholders.

The position will also help to set goals for the Contractor's Personnel at the Property and ensure they are achieved and will focus on performance management and individual development in support of continued high standards and effective succession planning.

The Security Site Supervisor will liaise regularly with the Manager's Security and Life Safety Manager at the Property and provide input to future planning and major security-related projects at the Property.

A significant responsibility of this role is participation in the preparation, upkeep and testing of emergency response plans to ensure the Property is adequately prepared to deal with a wide range of potentially adverse incidents.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


Education & Experience:


In addition to completion of the grade 12 certificate, a community college diploma (or equivalent business management qualification) in a security/life safety, risk management or criminology-related discipline is preferred or equivalent level of mature security experience Completion of a supervisory management program upon assignment to the account; Three years working in a commercial real estate security environment, in positions of increasing responsibility - or equivalent work experience One year of security supervisory experience, ideally at one of the Manager's Properties or a property of comparably complex scope (i.e., large, mixed-use facility) - or equivalent work experience.


Technical Skills:

Knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of all direct and indirect reports Understands property management and property security and life safety needs Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google products Knowledge of security and life safety technology (i.e. CCTV, access control, fire alarm, intrusion) and other security-related systems Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security and life safety management Sound knowledge of industry techniques and emergent trends in security and life safety management.

Operational Management:


Direct responsibility for supervising the Contractor's Personnel at the Property, including without limitation, the Control Centre Operator, Lead Hand, Mobile Supervisor and security guards, and any other Property specific roles set out in Schedule B of this Agreement.

Ongoing coordination to ensure all aspects of the security and life safety program at the Property are assessed and updated regularly to remain current with the Manager's Standard Operating Procedures and industry best practice, and to continually achieve operational and fiscal efficiency.
