Threat and Risk Analyst


Location:
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (100 Constellation Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2G 5J9 or remotely within Canada as approved)


Position Type: 1 Year contract


Hours:37.5 per week


Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project owners to plan, execute, and document Threat and Risk Assessments using established processes.
• Facilitate security assessments for thirdparty solutions by overseeing the completion of Hosted Security Questionnaires.
• Generate various project deliverables including Business Impact Assessment forms, Risk Assessment reports, Security Consultation reports, Program Plans, and Status Presentations.
• Track and validate open risks in the City of Ottawa's Risk Register.
• Provide recommendations and support for risk mitigation strategies.
• Business Impact Assessment forms.
• Draft Risk Assessment report.
• Final Risk Assessment report.
• Final Security consultation report.
• Budget and spending justifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or community college diploma in information technology, computer science, or related discipline.
• Graduate diploma in information technology, computer science, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of information security experience (mandatory).
• Minimum of ten (10) years of Experience leading and executing all aspects of information threat and risk assessment processes (mandatory).
• Experience briefing both technical and nontechnical senior management on information risks.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, PHIPA, and MFIPPA standards considered an asset.
• Experience performing risk assessments in municipal government and public transit systems (mandatory).

Must have at least two of the following certifications:

• Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certfified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials (GSEC)
