The Opportunity:

The Maintenance Technician Level 1 is a more senior maintenance level position providing maintenance support as a member of a building operations team.

The primary objective of the Maintenance Technician Level 1 is to ensure that the assigned building or complex of buildings is being managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency.

What you will do:

Primary duties are to assist Building Operators in daily activities.
Performing work in accordance to established processes and practices.
Perform general maintenance duties with basic knowledge within electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems, carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, light lamp changes, minor plumbing repairs, etc.
General maintenance including general housekeeping such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling snow, garbage removal, moving/organizing supplies and pressure washing.
Clean exterior public areas from litter and debris ensuring building appearance, safety and convenience are upheld at all times.
Monitor and maintain all tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working order.
Assisting with preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs;
Attending to tenant requests, including minor repairs in tenant spaces.
Assist with contractors working under the direction of Building Operator
Assisting with environmental assessments and reporting;
Participating in corporate occupational health and safety program;
Assisting with waste, recycling and hazardous materials issues.
Embrace and proactively support BentallGreenOak's culture of environmental sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility.
Active participation in Preventative Maintenance program.
Must be in good physical condition, able to participate in moving of supplies/equipment.
Be an integral part of a building operations team;
Assisting in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relation

- through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.

Provide backup to other members of the crew when the need arises.
Other duties as assigned from time to time based on needs, training, knowledge, and capabilities

Who you are:

Minimum three years of related experience.
Good verbal communication skills.
