Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team in a dynamic culinary environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, baking, and customer service, with a focus on creating beautiful and delicious baked goods. Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections
- Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs using cake decorating techniques
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures meet safety and sanitation standards
- Package baked items for retail or catering purposes with attention to presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and inquiries
- Follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation preferred
- Restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in decorating baked goods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment
- Food industry experience or background in the culinary arts is advantageous
