    Description

    Job Function and General Information

    The liaison officer is responsible for tasks related to the development and implementation of information and recruitment activities for international students interested in studying at the Edmundston campus of the University of Moncton. They contribute to the recruitment best practices and help achieve recruitment goals. The officer also assists the admissions officer in processing admission applications and supporting enrolled international students.

    Job Description

    • Under the supervision of the Director of Student Life Services and Recruitment, the officer:
    • Collaborates in the planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of recruitment and study promotion activities, focusing specifically on international outreach;
    • Contributes to developing an annual recruitment plan and maintains a detailed activity report;
    • Prepares and conducts information sessions and exchanges with international students from educational institutions, as well as with information and career guidance officers from these institutions;
    • Participates in information fairs, delivers public presentations, and builds and nurtures a network of external partners related to potential student populations;
    • Collects and analyzes characteristics and needs of different international student populations, participates in recruitment strategy development and promotional tool creation;
      • Contributes to managing the University's image by collaborating in the production of annual communication plans, informational materials, and promotional activities;
      • Supports in obtaining necessary documents to complete international student admission files for the admissions officer's review;
      • Supports the supervision of enrolled international students; and
      • Performs any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

      Educational Requirements

      • Must hold an undergraduate degree; and
      • Canadian Regulated Immigration Consultant (CRIC) certification will be considered an asset.

      Other Skills and Qualifications

      • Skills in communication, marketing, and educational information will be considered assets;
      • One to three years of experience in a similar or related position;
      • International experience is preferred;
      • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing;
      • Ability to navigate diverse environments, handle unexpected changes or challenges;
      • Interpersonal skills, initiative, organizational abilities, and teamwork capabilities;
      • Availability for travel and flexible work hours.

      Salary Between $55,000 and $68,000 per year, depending on education and experience.
