Production Operator - Mississauga, Ontario

Job summary
The Production Operator utilizes a variety of equipment and machines to produce high quality custom framing products for our customers while following safety rules meeting productivity standards and achieving attendance requirements.Operates Saw Router Joiner and/or Mat Cutter according to procedures Cross-trains on all machines to be fully versatile in all aspects of machine operations Cuts fits assembles packages and ships frame/mat fillet orders Enters order information in computer system Cleans equipment as required to ensure safety and accuracy Performs required maintenance replaces worn parts blades bits etc. as appropriate and required Calibrates equipment as appropriate to produce high quality materials Meets or exceeds quality standards set by management Alerts management of machine issues that may affect quality Performs inspection of work completed for visible defects or quality issues Completes re-cuts or re-work immediately Maintains a clean work area for safe efficient operation Inspects equipment to ensure safe operations Follows all safety requirements for machine operations Wears appropriate safety equipment at all times Demonstrated ability to read write speak English fluently Verbal numerical intelligence Accurately read tape measure ruler Accurately read match number sequences Differentiate between cuts join color Constantly stand frequently walk constantly use foot controls Frequently bend from the waist twist Constantly lift up 30lbs13.6kgs occasionally lift up 50lbs23.6kgs from floor overhead Occasionally reach horizontally overhead Constantly pushpull total body from floor overhead constantly grasp carry push with both hands Constants move arms hands fingers grasp manipulate assemble objects Work environment is not climate-controlled subject dust high/low temperatures High noise levels moving machinery Applicants Canada satisfy federal provincial local legal requirements job Please note This posting existing vacancy employer actively recruiting fill position Total Base Pay Range Position $21.50 Michaels prioritize wellbeing teams providing robust benefits full-time part-time Team Members Our benefits include health insurance medical dental vision paid time off tuition assistance generous employee discounts more Information visit Michaels Equal Opportunity Employer create innovate better together>
