Summary:


As the Turf & Range Manager at The New Pro Driving Range, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetics and functionality of the driving range, fairways, tee boxes, and short game areas.

This position requires a hands-on approach to groundskeeping, equipment maintenance, and overall facility management to ensure a premier golfing experience.


Grounds Maintenance:


  • Operate riding lawn mowers to cut grass on fairways and tee boxes, ensuring grass is maintained at optimal levels for golfing conditions.
  • Regularly fill divots and seed areas as needed to ensure turf health and aesthetic standards.
  • Strategically section off grass tee areas in accordance with the maintenance schedule to promote turf recovery and sustainability.

Facility Upkeep:


  • Inspect and ensure that all netting and post covers are securely in place to protect players and visitors.
  • Maintain the short game area greens, including mowing, top dressing, and watering to ensure highquality playing surfaces.
  • Ensure all flags are properly inserted and secure in their designated holes.
  • Regularly check and maintain clear visibility of range signs to assist and guide golfers effectively.

Equipment and Supply Management:


  • Operate ball collection machinery to retrieve golf balls from the range.
  • Thoroughly wash collected golf balls and ensure the outside picker is filled and functioning.
  • Maintain optimal levels of golf balls inside the clubhouse to meet customer demand without interruption.
  • Manage and oversee the daily emptying and rebagging of trash bins, maintaining cleanliness and order around the facility.

Irrigation and Plant Health:


  • Water tee boxes, fairways, and the short game area as needed, managing irrigation systems for efficiency and environmental sustainability.
  • Monitor and adjust the watering schedule based on weather conditions and turf health requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in turf management, groundskeeping, or a similar role in a golf course or sports facility.
  • Strong understanding of horticulture practices, turf management, and basic landscaping.
  • Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including riding lawn mowers and ball pickers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and customers.

Application Process:


Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
