About Viking CIP:


  • Viking CIP Ltd is an Albertabased company that provides onsite mobile heat exchanger cleaning services to the major Oil & Gas Corporations, Municipal customers, and manufacturing sector. Viking has expanded it's operations, facility, and field equipment to continue it's 7th consecutive year of growth.
  • Viking is looking to recruit multiple individuals with experience working in the oil and gas services industry over to the chemical cleaning trade; we prefer to train and promote as our processes and technologies are unique in our industry and we prefer to build our team from the ground up.
  • These positions offer trade wages, travel time and overtime as applicable, travel expenses via company credit card, use of company vehicles as required, and a very strong benefits plan. About You:


  • The right individuals will demonstrate a history of longterm employment with prior employers, the ability to operate safely in industrial environments and the capacity to learn a new trade. Individuals with experience operation Vac trucks or performing services to SAGD operations will be given preference.

Job Details:


  • Training and necessary industry certifications are provided.
  • The physical demands of the role are moderatetolow, however there are lifting procedures for setup and tear down of jobs, some walking at client sites but this work does not have the demands of construction trades.
  • Driving to and from site and at site is essential; operators must have the ability to drive an F450
  • F550 or equivalent while pulling tandem and triaxle trailers of up to 34 feet in length.
  • Connecting to heat exchanger circuits, mixing prescribed chemical within the cleaning systems, and monitoring the cleaning equipment and gauges through the prescribed cleaning cycles.
  • The successful applicant will be hired as an employee (not subcontractor) and must complete a 3month probationary period.

Experience / Education:


  • 2 years of oil & gas services experience (preferred)
  • General knowledge of working mechanics (good mechanical instincts)
  • Working knowledge of heat exchangers an asset, but not required
  • Chemical calculations (will train)

Job Requirements:


  • Flexible schedule, able to work out of town with 24hour's notice.
  • Able to work shift work.
  • Ability and Willingness to follow safe work procedures at all times.
  • Outdoor work in sometimes harsh climate conditions.
  • On and offsite safety, including diligent use of PPE at all times.
  • Must possess general mechanical aptitude and abilities.
  • Worker must be hardworking and dependable.
  • Must work well with others/be a team player.
  • Must possess a resourceful and selfmotivated attitude.

Mandatory Certifications/Licenses:


  • Valid Class 5 driver's license in good standing; a drivers abstract must be provided.
  • A driving and claims history survey form will be required prior to hiring.

Highly desirable Certifications/licenses:


  • Standard First Aid
  • H2S Alive
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • WHMIS 2015

Compensation:


  • Permanent, Full Time Employment
- $32.55 per hour during 90-day probation period
- $35.81 after completion of 90-day probation period
