Purpose of Role:

_ Reviewing scope of work with the sales team to create accurate costing and work orders for the shop floor upon receipt of purchase Orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Task Management: Takes a proactive approach to identifying cost trends in order to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts
  • Relationships:
Success in this role is built around the ability to build trust and relationships with both internal departments and external customers

  • Technical Resource:

This role will spend a majority of time reading and understanding client or outside sales representative's instructions, drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.

They will develop customized quotations using quotation software to ensure cost effective production and fabrication- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management and Problem solving experience
  • Great communication with internal and external customers 2 Year degree in an engineering or technical field; or previous planning and cost estimating experience is a plus.
  • Solidworks or AutoCad experience, with the ability to interpret and adjust drawings.
  • Extensive Excel Experience and Data Analysis
  • Experience with SQL and ERP software navigation is highly desired, but not required.
