Position Summary


The Freelance Skin Health Expert position will focus on client connection and building relationships while executing a sales goal of 5.8x their set hourly rate within multiple locations.

The freelancer is responsible for connecting with the client, addressing their skincare needs and supporting the store team in creating a memorable experience.

Due to the flexible nature of the position, this role could be at various retailer locations as opposed to a permanent retail store.

The primary objective of the freelance position is a sale driven support role.

The freelancer is responsible for executing 5.8x their hourly rate during their shift while communicating directly with the Account Manager.

This role will also include training on any new launches, product knowledge and overall brand awareness.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Must be teamwork oriented with the ability to lead/work in a selling, goal driven environment
  • Enjoy meeting, consulting and interacting with people
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of Kate Somerville products and brand awareness
  • Ability to meet sales goals and objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
  • Understand and execute the territory scheduling
  • Exemplify highest standard of sales and customer service skills
  • Educate and train on the Kate Somerville brand heritage and culture, product demonstration, and selling techniques
  • Merchandises linear, case line, and secondary locations according to merchandising guidelines and retail plan
  • Adhere to accepting/declining shifts in a timely and concise manner
  • Adhere to submitting timesheets in a timely and concise manner
  • Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key account staff
  • Regularly communicate with the Account Manager on territory needs, notable happenings, and competitive sales trends
  • Attain sales goals
  • Maintaining expectations, protocols and standards of our retail partners

Skills, Experience and Education Required

  • High school or equivalent
Retail Sales: 3 years

  • 3 years equivalent experience in Cosmetic/Aesthetic/Beauty industry
  • Proven ability to drive sales and provide excellent customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build positive business relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced, changing environment
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Excellent communication skills — verbal, nonverbal
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Computer and/or App Skills
  • Must have mobile device
  • Sephora/Nordstrom experience a plus
